The Current Suffering Among Children

In Zimbabwe, children have faced heartbreaking struggles for decades. The HIV/AIDS epidemic has claimed hundreds of thousands of parents in Zimbabwe, leaving behind an entire generation of orphans. Many of these children grow up without stability, exposed to hunger, abuse, and exploitation while struggling to survive in poverty and hunger-stricken communities. With families torn apart and opportunities scarce, children continue to suffer from the lasting impact of disease, neglect, and economic collapse. The need to support those who are protecting and empowering these children is critical.

Courageous local efforts:

The Very Last has come alongside courageous local leaders in Zimbabwe who have dedicated their lives to caring for children who are suffering and struggling to survive. By mobilizing people and resources within their communities, these leaders are ensuring that vulnerable children are protected, cared for, and given the opportunity not only to survive but to flourish.
